Recently, the Turpan-Hami Basin is experiencing the hottest weather this year. On June 22, the meteorological department issued the first high-temperature orange warning this year. The Toksun County, Turpan City, and Shanshan County in the Tuha Oil Region were among the top three in the nation's high temperature. On the 23rd, the maximum temperature in the north of the Puerto West and Yanmu West reached 43 degrees Celsius.
Heat waves frequently hit the Turpan Basin, and the Turpan-Hami oilfield is extremely hot and dry. In the face of extremely severe weather, the Tuha Oilfield Company issued high-temperature weather warnings in advance, started emergency plans in a timely manner, and took various measures to actively respond. Oil field, downhole, oil construction, special vehicles, hydropower and other field operations teams, outdoor operations to avoid high-temperature period, optimize the operating program, shorten the continuous working time under high temperature conditions. On-site posts are equipped with sunstroke-preventing items to prevent heat stroke and other phenomena. The underground company and the oil construction company also organized logistics departments to send green bean soup and other heatstroke drinks to frontline workers. The special truck company crude oil trucking team made early departures and stopped at noon on a hot day, and used the GPS monitoring system to strictly control the speed. Turpan, Shanshan, Wenmi, Santanghu and other oil production plants paid close attention to the changes in the oil and water wells through the central control and network management systems. All work areas implemented responsible personnel to drill on the wells to prevent high temperatures from affecting production.
Due to the high temperature weather, snowmelt in the mountainous area is melting faster, which may cause partial snowmelt floods. In response to this security risk, Tuha Oilfield Company completed flood prevention work ahead of schedule, completed key flood prevention projects such as Wumi, Lukeng, Qiudong and Santang Lake, organized special vehicles companies and other units to set up a flood control and flood rescue team equipped with cranes, Trailers, trucks and personnel supplies.
