The national wide-scale instrument special limit ultra-high precision current measuring instrument has been broken

[China Instrument Network Instrument R&D] China's major scientific instrument equipment special “wide limit ultra-high precision current measuring instrument” has undergone five years of in-depth research by the China Institute of Metrology and Electromagnetics, and has finally achieved a series of technological breakthroughs.

With accurate measurements, the uncertainty is on the order of 10-8. Fundamentally solves the bottleneck problem that has restricted the development of precision current measurement technology in China for a long time, and has improved China's current metrology traceability.

The main technical backbone of the project, Li Zhengkun, a researcher at the Institute of Electromagnetics, China Institute of Metrology, said that electromagnetic measurement plays an important role in modern measurement technology and has been widely used in basic scientific research, social production, and daily life. Current, one of the seven basic quantities of the International System of Units, is the core and foundation of electromagnetic measurement. In order to break through the bottleneck of current precision measurement technology and change the unfavorable situation in which high-end precision current measuring instruments in China are basically monopolized by foreign products, the China National Institute of Metrology and Electromagnetics supports the development of special scientific instruments and equipment for large-scale ultra-high precision current measuring instruments. Next, led by academician Zhang Zhonghua, he coordinated with nine domestic research institutes, universities and enterprises to conduct in-depth research on key technologies for precision current measurement such as low load factor sampling resistance. After five years of research, it has achieved a series of technological breakthroughs.

Li Zhengkun introduced that through the collaboration of various tasks of the project, the project team has also developed a variety of instrumentation prototypes and key devices based on precision current measurement technology. Some equipment has been applied in scientific research institutes and enterprises in such fields as national defense measurement, new energy vehicles, medical diagnosis, and metallurgy and chemical industry, which has promoted the overall improvement of China's related industrial technology and innovation capabilities.
